The Sensational Diya Ojo

Diya Ojo was born in the sixties to the family of Mr & Mrs S Ajilore Ojo.
He trained as a qualified Electrical Installation Engineer. His musical career started as an organist under late Pa E O Christopher and continued as a musicologist under Wole Adetiran of The Polytechnic Ibadan, Nigeria.

Diya later moved to Lagos to join Admiral Dele Abiodun's Top Hitters Band as a keyboardist.

As part of his achievements, he has trained many Church Choirs and numerous instrumentalists. As a renowned gospel Artiste, he released one album on Sony Music label in 1994, followed by the production of over two hundred hit albums in Nigeria.

Diya's kind of music called "Jelenke", is a unique assortment of folklore, blues, jazz, calypso, juju, fuji and samba. It is in accord with the French composer, Claude Debussy's classification that 'music is the arithmetic of sounds as optics is the geometry of light'.

In 1999, he released two separate CD albums in London and since then God has been wonderful to Diya and his family. Diya Ojo is an artiste, a genius that sings world songs which moves humanity with a concord of sweet sounds. Be on the look out for his forthcoming album titled "HIS Grace".
