Sam, a highly intuitive and prolific artist was born in Zaria in 1961 and studied at the Auchi Polytechnic and the University of Benin where he obtained a Masters of Fine Art degree in Painting.
Apart from showing the characteristic trademark of the colouristic influence of Auchi Polytechnic, he mostly draws inspiration from the features of the Fulani lives, love and environment.
Using motifs from the Fulani's body and ornamental embellishments, he creates a kaleidoscope of iridescent colours.
