Tony was born in Delta State of Nigeria in 1959 and was introduced to art by Dr. Bruce Onobrakpeya in 1980 until he left to set up his own workshop in 1985.
His art is strongly inspired by events and experiences around him which is quite obvious at the very first glance at his Plasto-casts or metal foils that his main guide or focus is the desire to document the ceremonies, traditional norms, textures, elements of worship, paraphernalia for dances and performances.
