The
thing wey dey baffle us be say there are some "illegal
structures" wey still dey stand despite confirmation
from the FCT minister himself. Such structures include our beloved
Presidential Villa, Aso Rock, wey dey sit on a site earlier
earmarked for a forest reserve. No wonder bush meat dey
expensive for Abuja when the Villa don take over the forest
wey hunters for dey hunt bush meat.
We also hear say the Eagle Square too dey on demolition list
becos e dey occupy the site meant for the hob of a proposed
railway station. Railway station indeed! Maybe the minister
mean to say locomotive station wetin happen to the Nigerian
Railway Corporation?
El-Rufai say dem no fit demolish these illegal structures. Haba
this na double standard o. But e good make dem leave the structures,
if not na another opportunity be that, and we go suffer am by
the time they come with billions of Naira/Pound/Dollar/Euro/Yen
(N/£/$/€/¥) budget to rebuild another one.
Our
dearest Honourable El-Rufai, kudos for your wise decision.
