AGHAHOWA:
"I didn't do it alone, it was the collective effort of the whole
team. I told my colleagues just before the game that if we hope to
go into the next round, then we have to play for each other. So it
was a collective effort. God gives goals and for Him not to give
me goals in the second match, I cannot doubt His powers. So today
He has given me the goals and we are moving forward. Every player
wants to be an achiever and so I have come here hoping that at the
end of the day, I'll be amongst the highest goals scorers".
OKORONKWO:
"The pitch in Bamako is very hard and it's hitting the ball too
strongly so it's difficult to control the ball and you have to be
very careful. With Taribo, I have no problem, we have been
discussing and we understand ourselves".
OLISEH:
"I think today, we had a better super Eagles but not the first two
games because today, we really had good ball possessions. It's
just that we were not lucky to have scored early. You could have
seen the fireworks. We have learnt that you don't dream of any
game until you have won it, so let's keep our feet on the ground
and go past the
quarter-finals before thinking of the semis".
LUIS CRAYTON (goal keeper):
"Defeat is a very hard thing to accept, we are out of the
competition and there is nothing we can do to reverse that. We
want to wish our sister country Nigeria the best of luck and on
our part, we just have to look forward to the next Nations Cup.
It's true that this is Weah's last game for Liberia. He is out of
the team and we all are going to miss him. He has been a great
inspiration and I want to wish him all the best in the
continuation of his life and career. Surely life must go on
without him".
JOKER WREAKER:
"The Nigerian team has got a chance of going far but they must
beware of Cameroon, Senegal and perhaps South Africa. I will give
them 65 percent because of their performances so far. They need to
work harder especially on their mobility".
PRINCE DAYE:
"Yes we gonna miss him, he his like a God father to us all but
Weah is there yesterday, today and he is not there tomorrow, so
someone else has got to take his place. Nigeria really has to work
harder especially in the defence which is a little bit shaky".
