NIGERIANS AND SNOW IN LONDON |

Most part of London was covered with snow for the better part of last week. For some of my country people wey never see snow before na very good opportunity to take picture inside the snow and send to their people for home to show say dem dey 'oyinbo land'. Survey show that during the snowfall most corner shops ran out of disposable cameras as people just dey rush in to buy camera to take picture and send home. |

| As una know say we for Gisters we no dey allow such moment to go with getting some facts, yours truly witnessed some of the scenes while the snowfall lasted like one Naija girl talking to her friend on the phone saying "you don take picture inside snow? Me I don take plenty o, I dey even go print them now to send to my people in Naija so that Iya Sikira my father's second wife go know say I dey overseas'. If una hear her accent sef una go know say she be proper Ibadan girl and another one wey surprise me happen for one news agent shop as I enter to buy newspaper as I wan pay the shop attendant just ask me if I no wan buy disposable camera, I tell him no and asked him why he dey ask me he come say since he know me to be a Nigerian, na me he dey reserve the last one wey he get for as all the ones wey he get na Naija people come buy am finish becos dem wan take picture inside snow.The thing embarrass me I just take style comot the shop. | |

Now
wey snow don melt finish na hospital most of my brothers and sisters
dey go now becos they wan see doctor, why? Dem get cold, but na
flu dem go call am. While the snow dey fall na inside snow dem
dey, dey take picture and building snowman as if say dem see am
for Africa before. Na payback time. Well we no blame them, the
thing wey person never see before dey get as e be when person
see am.
