It's
no more news that the "Not so Super Eagles"
Nigeria were seriously trounced by the impressive Black
Stars of Ghana in a friendly match at Brentford's Griffin
Park stadium. Due to this heavy loss, our "Tired
Eagles" has been relegated to 36th place in FIFA
ranking
Trust GSports to dish you all the dirt before, during and
after the game. It's a classic tale of "to fail to
prepare is to prepare to fail" for one team and "there
is reward for hard work" for the other.
From Naija national coach not having a clue about his players'
whereabouts to fans encroaching the pitch during half time
and after every goal scored, it's surely a case of naivety
everywhere you look.

Clueless
Eguavoen
For
this day and age wey communication don spoil everywhere,
e be like say na only our national manager Eguavoen still
dey live for stone age era as he no dey in tune with tekinologika
advancement to keep in touch with his players all over
the world. Imagine Naija national coach asking a journalist
from Naija the latest news about Obafemi Martins
and Mikel Obi when he should have direct contact
with the players and their club to know where dem dey.
|
|
| So
we no dey surprise when during the match Oga Cerezo
no even know which tactics to play he just stand there dey
wave his hands like 'Yellow Fever' for Ojuelegba
making signals like Morse code or abracadabra (the
more you look the less you see) wey only him fit understand,
no wonder the players dey confused. |

Invasion
Brentford Pitch
When
are we going to learn how to behave? If you come see the
way both Charlie and Naija fans dey invade
pitch at half time and whenever Black Stars sneak
another goal into Eagles' net una go think say na Kokovelli
or Lagbaja concert we dey. We go advise any future organizers
of any matches involving African teams to import security
guys from Africa wey know how to do pest control
sorry control crowds. But the good thing about the whole
na the fashion parade wey some girls give us especially
dem warm us up with dem skimpy skirts wey dey struggle to
cover dem big ikebe. We pity the Brentford Stadium
Ground manager the following morning as we sure say dem
go relay that pitch very soon as e suffer from some long
pointed stilettos no be small

Yakubu's
smiling entrance
Dem say first impression dey last well well no wonder when
Yakubu enter as substitute na Close Up toothpaste
smile he first flash to Essien. Yak de Yak, we know
say na friendly match dem call am, but my broda, Ghana dey
pepper us 4-1 when you enter and our national pride
dey for stake. You for even keep your emotion small as we
know say Essien dey earn pass you and he dey play for bigger
and better club. But haba! If shame no catch you,
shame catch the rest of us o. if to say na autograph
you want, you for respect the paying fans small and wait
for the match to end and collect am for dressing room. Abeg
be careful o!

Mikel!
Mikel!! Mikel!!!
Na
how many times we call you?
Since
the last WYC in Holland Naija team lost in the final to
Messiful Argentines, football fans in Naija has remained
hopeful about the future of Naija football especially the
'talent' of one Mikel Obi. When Chelsea and
Manchester United begin fight becos of the boy again we
think say our saviour don come but the player wey
we see play for Naija against Ghana no even worth fighting
for between 'Sootin Stars' and Raccah Rovers
in Naija league.
|
|
|
The
boy just dash the hope wey all him kontry people
placed on him and to think say na this same boy Mr Loudmouth
Mourinho of Chelsea dey threaten Naija with FIFA becos
we play our own player for FIFA approved match. And Mikel
too no help matter when he claim say Naija people in Naija
dey threaten him family if he no play. Abeg we dey implore
the people wey dey close to Mikel to advice him well well
o, make he no let him head swell pass him skills
o, that is if he get any. Instead of improving himself we
hear say you be popular jingo for every Naija joints in
London and nightclubs in the West End. A word is enough
for the wise. Make you just take a look at Etim Esin's career.
Full stop!

Obafemi
say Sorry
Igbira
people go say 'de de me da ho' meaning take am easy.
Obagoal, Obarun, Obasomersault, no
turn yaself to Obalie. We no say you dey lie o
We
understand say nothing pass mother especially from the society
wey we come from, becos if person dey earn the kind money
wey you dey collect and you no take care of your Mama na
yours truly go first fire you serious epe (curse).
|
|
|
You
know say football is a matter of life and death for Naija
people as that is the only thing wey dey bring the Ibos,
Yorubas and Hausas together. If you know say
Mama no dey feel too well for Abule, you for still report
to camp and excuse yourself at least that go show say you
get respect.
Wetin
we fit do as you don say sorry than to forgive you. There
is a saying that 'if we use right hand punish pikin,
we go use left one comfort am." Just no let that
boy Cele corrupt you o.
Greet Mama for us o, hope she don dey feel better.
We wish her sooner recovery

Kanu
warms up- in trainers
While
the Ghananians dey teach Naija lesson on the pitch, Papillo
just dey take am easy for sideline. Even when dem ask Igwe
to warm up he just run for few minutes in his trainers and
return to sit down all wrapped up. Who go blame him, the
cold that day no be small.

Ghana
in Colonial Chant
,
Haba, after 50 years of independence we think say our e
ti sen brodas and sistas go don forget the colonial
mentality, but na lie O. Trust the NFA supporter under the
everlasting rule of our life time President General the
trumpet and drum just dey jam numerous sweet
melody until the goals started raining in but wetin
happen to the Kofi people na Colonial Master ole!
ole!! ole!!! ole!!!! chant rented the air when dem
score. Wetin happen to Ghana songs by likes of Mzbel,
Praye, Wuta etc?

Party
atmosphere after the match
Where Naija dey there must be party and where Ghana
dey there must be plenty of bakassi. The result of
the game no spoil the brotherly love between the two set
of fans as they partied in good spirit after the game. While
the Ghana fans busted to a popular Naija song "Nigeria
jagajaga, everything scatter, scatter". Naija fan
responded with the chant "Ghana must go! Ghana must
go! Ghana must go"!

Match
ended in a draw
Naija 0 - Ghana 0
Thousands of Ghana fans go home with the believe say dem
beat Naija 4-1, but the Gsports get evidence say
the match ended in 0-0 as the score board show at
the end of the game so Naija is still unbeaten bay Ghana
in 15 years.
We no know if na cold catch the score board or na our Mr
Fix It for Naija go give the operator egunje.

Suffering
Press
The
thing wey yours truly eyes see before he enters the stadium
no be small. We think say na Europe we dey, but our experience
for the press entrance can be likened to trying to negotiate
the Tora Bora mountains in Afghanistan to see Osama.
The scene resembles when you wan enter Onikan Stadium
to watch Flaming Flamingos or Olubadan Stadium
to see Sooting Stars play.
The lack of organisation no be small, imagine the media
representative for the organiser wey suppose to provide
information for the press, asking the people he is suppose
to be giving info to for info. Na wa o.

and thanks FIFA for put up a cup championship for
the amputtes in Africa. The maiden event was held in Sieria
Leone where lot of able men had their legs amputated during
the war. Atleast the shows there is still hope for us in
Africa.
it
seems na Ghana dey in form now o because na dem carry the
cup at the tournament.
