Gisters celebrates the achievements of Otunba (Engr.) Adewale
Adenaike, The Olu Omo of Oke-Ako, Ijebu Land in the Ogun
East district of Ogun State, a very prominent area in the
South West of Nigeria.
Otunba
Adewale Adenaike, a practicing engineer, surveyor and a
business man lives with his loving family in United Kingdom,
but despite the comfortability and accessibility to good
quality lifestyle of the Western World, Otunba's mind and
thoughts are always be with his people back home, especially
the less privileged.
That is why he transformed his thoughts and feelings about
his people into action with the birth of a charity organization
few years ago named Dewale Adenaike Ajuse Foundation
(DAAF). DAAF has been having a positive impact
on the lives of the people in Ogun East in particular and
others are being motivated to replicate such gestures around
the nation in general.

organization has made some landmark achievements through
the continuous and unflinching efforts of Otunba Adewale
Adenaike in terms of time, money and resources. Some of
the landmarks achieved include:
Commitment
to Education - The provision of exercise books and
stationery to schools in all the 103 wards in Ogun East
Senatorial District.
Commitment
to Healthcare Delivery - Provision of mobile clinics
with trained nurses, doctors and medication. DAAF provides
free primary care services and health information to the
local community on a continual basis.
Youth
Development - Provision of sporting outfits and equipments
to schools in the area and sponsoring of Inter school
competitions and events.

"It's
a way of sharing part of what God has given to me with
others, especially the less privileged. Since DAAF inception,
I have noticed its positive impact on the lives of ordinary
people in my Senatorial District. This has been my source
of motivation."

Political ambition?
"Yes,
I am the People's choice to contest the Senatorial seat
of Ogun East District in the forthcoming general elections."
Under
Which Platform?
"I
have the mandate of the people of Ogun East. I am the people's
choice as I have not been imposed by any power that be.....
It's no surprise that I have been nominated by four different
political parties as their candidate."

Effects
on DAAF...
"I
believe this is an excellent opportunity to bring the plight
of my people to the attention of the government. When elected,
by the Grace of God, I will ensure the efforts of DAAF in
Ogun East are anchored by the Government's resources and
extended to other areas of Nigeria. There are enough resources
in Nigeria to provide for the needs of all."

the primary objectives of DAAF whilst ensuring effective,
people driven and result oriented representation style
of leadership and governance."
Advice
for people...
"Selfless
service beckons on all of us. We should either avail ourselves
for service or support the drive for positive change.
Nigeria needs all of us if the legacies of our heroes
past are to be truly enshrined in posterity. Patriotism
is not a momentary surge of enthusiasm but a continuum,
Nigeria is all we have."
