|
| All
sport loving Nigerians defied the weather to go and watch the Super
Eagles take on Japan at the newly constructed St Mary's Stadium
in Southampton as part of the preparation for the world cup 2002
to be held in Japan/Korea. The pitch was drenched in water and the
weather was not too friendly. |

Despite
this, all present were in high spirits as they sang and chanted
solidarity songs to cheer and encourage the players. The players
displayed some flashes of superb dribbling, but blamed the weather
for the average performance overall. It all turned out nice for
every body present as it created an opportunity to mix and blend
with the flow! |

Gisters
man of the match was 'Jay Jay'Austin Okocha for his brilliance
displayed and commitment on the pitch.
The
final score was 2-2
